Oops – slip and fall

slip fall Just a quick note  – about a week ago, I slipped in my driveway and took a hard fall. Knocked me out! Nothing broken, just sprains, bruises, cuts, and  abrasions. I was really lucky.

I still have a bit of healing to do, and then I’ll be back 🙂 Coco

  1. So sorry to hear of your fall – and the worst part (as a frequent faller myself) is the feeling foolish about it.

Hope you are being especially good to yourself!

  2. Coco, sorry to learn you fell! That sounded like a very bad fall! I hate to say it but when you get to be a certain age past 60, those falls take a while to recover from. I thought I would never get over a sprained ankle last Thanksgiving when I fell at work. Take care and hope you are recovered soon.

  3. Oh Coco, bad news but many thanks for letting us all know, I had been really worried as no posts for a few weeks since the hurricane; here in UK we have escaped all this.
Swift recovery and look forward to hearing your progress and seeing your next projects when you are better.

  4. So sorry to read this. As someone who had a bad fall earlier this year I know how long it can take to recover from what is an “unseen” injury to others. Take the time you need to heal and hoping that it is a speedy recovery.

  5. Ouch, ouch. I am notoriously in a rush so have fallen and know the lingering pain of wrenching a body out of whack. Hope you are resting, reading, napping and dreaming of new creations.

  6. I’m so sorry to hear that. I fell a few years back and my whole body ached for a few weeks. It’s no fun to fall, especially as an adult. I’ve missed seeing you on your blog.

  7. Bless you for taking a minute to let us know. I’ve checked your blog every day hoping for a new post. This is not what I wanted to see. Hope you are all better soon.

  8. Well, good grief! I have been missing you but thought you were hard at work on some spectacular something or the other. You really were lucky that it wasn’t worse (not that we can control these things). I know you will be back at it as soon as you can, so I wish you speedy healing.

  9. Oh no! I was wondering why you haven’t written and I thought you might be tied up with post-hurricane clean-up…no such luck, I guess. I miss your writing (and your sewing!) so I am selfishly hoping that you mend real quickly and are feeling well soon. What a scare you must have had.
Take care! Do you need us to send you some fabric to make you feel better?!

  10. The only place I have ever fallen is the driveway. It’s hard, and the pavement came up quickly after I realized I was falling. I was surprised it was such a surprise. I guess I thought I would fall in slow motion and have time to think about it – DOH! Rest and heal, Coco! No more falls!

    1. Driveways…I was pushing my trash cart, it started going faster than I was, and then it came backwards on me. So unexpected. I need a course in cart pushing 101.

  11. You were fortunate. My doctor just cautioned me 2 days ago about slippery rugs, shower stalls, tripping over items on the floor (shoes) She failed to mention driveways! Take care.
